SmartQ R7 is targeting to be an lower cost alternative of iPad. The software is developed on Ubuntu Linux while the OS is tailored made by SmartQ. Compared to the previous V7, R7 has a more user friendly operating system. After turning on R7, you can command the device by clicking the menu icons.
Screen : The device has a 7.0 inch 800*480 16m colors touch screen.
CPU : ARM11 architecture 667MHz CPU.
RAM : 256MB DDRII high speed.
Connectivity : R7 has 802.11b/g WiFi and Bluetooth2.0+EDR. R7 can be connected via 3G network but 3G connection is not guaranteed due to the telecommunication format of different countries.
Video Capability : R7 supports 1080P videos in the format of AVI, MKV(（XVID/H.264）, MOV, TS, M2TS, RM/RMVB, FLV, WMV, 3GP, MPEG, DAT, MP4.
Office Suit : You can create or edit word ducument and spreadsheet with R7. Powerpoint can be viewed as well.
Ebook Reading Capability : R7 is a tiny computer acting like your laptop, you can view EPUB, PDF, DOC ebooks with no difficulty. If you have ebooks in a rare format, simply install an add-on software to enable it.
